Dashboard

Overview

The Dashboard is the home page of your Uslimato instance. It gives you an immediate overview of your IT inventory status after logging in — and can be fully customised to match your workflow.

Available Widgets

The dashboard is made up of configurable tiles (widgets). The following widgets are available:

WidgetContent
Total AssetsTotal asset count + number of active assets
Total ValueSum of all asset acquisition costs
In UseNumber of assets with status In Use
In ServiceNumber of assets with status In Service
By StatusAsset breakdown by status with bar chart
By Device TypeAsset breakdown by device type
Recent Asset ChangesChronological list of recent changes from the audit log
License Overview AssetsAssets currently in use relative to your plan limit
License Overview UsersActive users and total user count

The default view shows the first six widgets. All nine are available in the pool.

Customising the Dashboard

Every user can configure their dashboard individually. Settings are saved per user and restored on the next login.

Activating Edit Mode

Click Customize Dashboard in the top right of the Dashboard page. The button turns green and displays Done while edit mode is active.

Moving Widgets

In edit mode, a grip icon (⠿) appears at the top left of each widget. Click and hold it, then drag the widget to the desired position. The remaining widgets rearrange automatically.

Removing Widgets

Click the × icon at the top right of a widget to remove it from the dashboard. The widget remains in the pool and can be added back at any time.

Adding Widgets

At the bottom of the dashboard, edit mode reveals the Available Widgets section. It shows all widgets not currently displayed. Click a widget to add it back. New widgets are appended to the end of the current layout.

Exiting Edit Mode

Click Done to exit edit mode. The layout is saved automatically.

Layout Persistence

Each user's widget arrangement is saved server-side and synced automatically across all devices and browsers. When you open the dashboard on a new device, your personalised layout is restored immediately.

The browser's localStorage is used as a fast local cache and fallback — changes are written there first and then silently persisted to the server in the background. If the server is temporarily unavailable, the cached layout is used.

Resetting the Layout

In edit mode, a Reset Layout button appears next to the Customize Dashboard button. Clicking it restores the default six-widget layout after a confirmation prompt. Your custom layout is replaced immediately.

Widget: Recent Asset Changes

This widget shows the eight most recent entries from the asset audit log. Each entry contains:

  • Action — Created, Updated, or Deleted (colour-coded: green / amber / red)
  • Asset name — the affected asset
  • User — who made the change
  • Timestamp — relative to the current time (e.g. 12 min ago)

The widget is refreshed each time the Dashboard page loads.

Widget: License Overview Assets

Shows the number of your assets relative to the asset limit included in your plan:

  • Progress bar — turns red if the limit is exceeded
  • Percentage — how much of the limit is already used
  • Unlimited — displayed when your plan has no fixed limit

Click License Details to navigate to the full licence overview.

Widget: License Overview Users

Displays the number of active users as well as the total number of all created users (including inactive ones). License Details takes you to the licence page with further information about your plan.
