Module Management
Module Management
The Modules page (Settings → Modules, /modules) gives every tenant admin a single place to turn modules on and off within the bounds of their plan. It replaces the old support ticket for "please enable feature X for us" with a self-service switch.
How licensing and enablement interact
HGE Uslimato separates two concerns:
| Concept | Controlled by | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Licensed — can this module be used? | Plan features (core) and add-on licences (add-ons) | HGE Uslimato platform team |
| Enabled — is this module currently visible? | Module toggle on the Modules page | Tenant admin (you) |
A module is usable when both flags are true. Disable a licensed module and it simply disappears from navigation and read endpoints until you re-enable it. Upgrade the plan and any newly licensed modules appear as "available" — you still need to flip them on explicitly.
The six modules
| Name | Licensed via | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Asset management | Core — always licensed | Cannot be disabled. |
| Processes & movements | Plan feature | |
| Custom fields | Plan feature | |
| Public API | Plan feature | |
| Audit log | Plan feature | Default on for most plans. |
| ITSM — Service Desk | Separate add-on | Purchased and activated per tenant by the HGE Uslimato platform team. |
How to enable or disable a module
- Sign in as a user with the admin permission.
- Open Modules (
app.uslimato.com/modules). - Click the toggle on any card whose status is Active. Locked cards (status Upgrade required / Not licensed) stay disabled until the underlying license changes.
- Changes save immediately and are logged to the audit log.
Possible error messages
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Module cannot be disabled | Attempted to disable Asset management (core module). |
| Licence required | Attempted to enable a module not covered by your current plan or add-on. |
| Access denied | You do not have the admin permission. |
Platform team vs. tenant-admin responsibilities
- HGE Uslimato platform team: manages billing plans, plan features, add-on licenses, storage quotas, and tenant lifecycle. The platform team decides what you are allowed to use.
- Tenant admin (you): decides what you actually use today by toggling modules on and off, uploading branding, managing users and groups, and configuring module-specific settings.
If a module your plan includes is missing from this page, first open Settings → License to confirm the plan has the right features. If it still looks wrong, contact HGE support.
All module settings are tenant-isolated and every change is logged to the audit log.
