Tenant Lifecycle
Overview
The tenant lifecycle covers all phases from account creation to permanent deletion.
Cancellation
Cancellation can be initiated via Settings → Billing → Cancel Account.
After cancellation:
- The Stripe subscription is cancelled at period end
- A confirmation email is sent
- The retention period of 60 days begins
Retention Period (Grace Period)
During the 60-day retention period:
- Your access remains active
- A banner displays the remaining days
- You can export your data
- You can reverse the cancellation
After the retention period expires:
- Access is suspended
- Automatic deletion is scheduled for 90 days after cancellation
Data Export
Under Settings → Billing → Export Data, you can download your data as CSV files:
- assets.csv: All assets with tags, serial numbers, status
- users.csv: All users with email, role, status
- locations.csv: All locations with hierarchy
Immediate Deletion (Hard Delete)
Via "Permanently delete account", you can request immediate deletion of all data. You must type the exact company name to confirm.
Warning: This action cannot be undone. All assets, users, locations, processes, and audit logs will be immediately and permanently deleted.
Reactivation
As long as the account has not been permanently deleted, cancellation can be reversed via Settings → Billing → Reactivate Account.
Automatic Deletion
90 days after cancellation, tenant data is automatically deleted. Warning emails are sent before deletion:
- 14 days before: First warning
- 3 days before: Final warning
