Automatic Virus Protection for Uploads
HGE Uslimato automatically scans every uploaded file for viruses and malware before it is stored. This protection is always active and requires no configuration by users or administrators.
How It Works
When you upload a file to HGE Uslimato — whether it is a model image, a ticket attachment, an avatar, or any other file — the following happens:
- The file is scanned immediately, before it is permanently stored.
- Clean files are accepted and become available as expected.
- Infected files are rejected and never stored. You receive a clear error message.
This process applies to all upload features across the entire platform.
What Happens When a File Is Rejected?
When the virus scanner detects a threat in your file, the upload is blocked. You will see an error message indicating that the file was identified as infected.
The file is not stored — there is no risk of infected content reaching your tenant.
In this case, you can:
- Check and clean the file locally with an antivirus program.
- Upload a different, safe file instead.
File Sizes and Types
Files up to 25 MB can be uploaded and scanned. Archive files (e.g., .zip) are also inspected — the scanner examines the contents of archives as well.
The specific file type restrictions depend on the upload context (e.g., model images only accept image formats), but the virus scan is always performed regardless of file type.
Automatic Signature Updates
Virus definitions are updated automatically multiple times per day. New threats are typically detected within hours of being published by the security community.
You do not need to do anything to benefit from up-to-date virus definitions — updates run entirely in the background.
Fail-Closed Principle
HGE Uslimato follows a strict fail-closed principle: if the virus scanner is temporarily unavailable, uploads are rejected until the scanner is ready again. There is no way to bypass the scan.
This means: no file is ever accepted without being scanned first.
If the scanner is temporarily unreachable, you will receive a corresponding error message. In this case, try the upload again after a short wait. Administrators are automatically notified so the issue can be resolved as quickly as possible.
No Configuration Required
Virus protection is fully integrated into the platform and runs automatically. There are no settings that need to be enabled or adjusted — neither for end users nor for tenant administrators.
