Onboarding Tours
Onboarding Tours
HGE Uslimato includes a built-in onboarding system that guides new users through the platform with interactive, step-by-step tours.
How It Works
When you first log in to a new tenant, you'll be presented with the Onboarding Page — a checklist of guided tours tailored to your role. Each tour highlights key parts of the application and explains how to use them.
Available Tours
| Tour | Target Audience | Steps | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome Tour | All users | 5 | Dashboard, navigation, search, tenant switching |
| Asset Basics | All users | 6 | Asset list, search, filters, creation, status management |
| Process Introduction | Technicians, Helpdesk | 5 | Movements, step wizard, handover protocols |
| Admin Setup | Administrators | 8 | Catalog, user management, settings, permissions |
Tour Flow
- First Login: You're redirected to the onboarding page
- Start Tours: Click "Start" on any tour to begin the guided walkthrough
- Complete or Skip: Finish tours at your own pace or skip for later
- Dashboard Widget: If you skip, a progress widget appears on your dashboard
- Dismiss Widget: Close the widget when you're ready — it won't come back
- Settings: Restart any tour anytime from Settings → Onboarding
Dashboard Widget
If you skip the onboarding page or haven't completed all tours, a Getting Started widget appears at the top of your dashboard. It shows:
- Your progress (X of Y tours completed)
- A "Continue Setup" button to resume the next unfinished tour
- A dismiss button to hide the widget
The widget disappears automatically once all tours are completed.
Restarting Tours
For Yourself
Go to Settings → Onboarding to:
- See the status of each tour (completed, skipped, pending)
- Replay any individual tour
- Reset all onboarding progress to start fresh
Admin Reset (for Other Users)
Administrators can reset onboarding for other users. This is useful when:
- A new employee takes over an existing account
- A user needs to re-learn features after major updates
To reset another user's onboarding, go to the user's detail page and select "Reset Onboarding" from the actions menu.
Help Trigger
On key pages (Assets, Processes, Catalog), you'll find a small ? icon next to the page title. Clicking it starts the relevant tour for that page — useful even after completing onboarding.
Platform Administration
The platform team can reset onboarding for all users in a tenant:
- Navigate to the tenant management
- Find the tenant
- Click "Reset Onboarding"
This clears all user progress, requiring everyone to go through onboarding again on their next login.
