Monitoring & Observability

Overview

HGE Uslimato is monitored automatically around the clock. The platform team uses a multi-layered monitoring approach that continuously tracks availability, response times, and security aspects. As a user, you do not need to configure anything — all monitoring runs in the background.

What is monitored?

Availability

The platform continuously verifies that all services are reachable and fully operational. Outages or degradations are detected immediately so the team can respond without delay.

Performance

Response times and system utilization are measured on an ongoing basis. If load times increase or unusual patterns emerge, the platform team is automatically notified and can take action before users experience any noticeable impact.

Security

Unusual access patterns and error rates are captured and analyzed. Anomalies trigger automatic alerts so that potential security incidents can be investigated early.

Business metrics

Key figures such as the number of open tickets, managed assets, licensed users, and storage usage per tenant are also monitored. This helps the team identify trends early and manage capacity planning proactively.

Automatic alerting

When anomalies occur — such as unusually high system load, elevated error rates, or performance degradation — the platform team is automatically notified by email. The alerting system is multi-layered and covers several areas:

  • System load — Elevated utilization sustained over a period of time.
  • Response times — Above-average latency in request handling.
  • Error rates — An unusual number of server errors within a short window.
  • Database connections — Approaching capacity limits.
  • Application errors — A sudden spike in unexpected errors.

Error log for administrators

Within the platform administration area, an error log viewer is available for authorized administrators to review errors that have occurred. The viewer offers filtering by severity, affected function, tenant, and time range. Detail views provide additional context information for each entry.

Older entries are automatically cleaned up after 30 days.

For you as a user

  • No configuration needed — Monitoring runs entirely on its own.
  • Proactive care — The platform team is alerted to anomalies and acts before you notice anything.
  • Transparency — Administrators can view technical incidents for their tenant through the error log.
