Mobile App (PWA)

Overview

Uslimato is available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) that can be installed on any mobile device. The mobile app provides a streamlined field worker experience for managing assets, scanning QR codes, and completing movement processes on the go.

Installation

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open app.uslimato.com in Chrome
  2. Tap the Install App prompt or go to Menu > Add to Home Screen
  3. The app appears as a standalone application on your home screen

iOS (Safari)

  1. Open app.uslimato.com in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button > Add to Home Screen
  3. The app opens in standalone mode without Safari UI

Mobile Navigation

On mobile viewports, the sidebar is replaced by a bottom navigation bar with quick access to:

  • Dashboard -- Overview and statistics
  • Assets -- Asset list and search
  • Scanner -- QR/barcode scanner for asset tags
  • Movements -- Active movement processes
  • More -- Access to all other features (catalog, processes, locations, integrations, users, settings)

The "More" menu respects your role permissions -- you only see features you have access to.

QR/Barcode Scanner

  1. Tap the Scanner icon in the bottom navigation
  2. Tap Start camera to activate the device camera
  3. Point at a QR code or barcode on an asset tag
  4. The app automatically looks up the asset and shows its details

If camera access is denied or unavailable, use the manual input option to type the asset tag directly.

Movement Wizard on Mobile

The mobile movement wizard guides you through asset hand-offs and relocations step by step:

  1. From the Movements tab or an asset detail view, tap Start Movement
  2. Select the process to run (only processes compatible with the selected asset type are shown)
  3. Select one or more assets to include in the movement
  4. Walk through each process step -- fill in fields, capture signatures, confirm data
  5. On the final step, tap Complete to finish the movement

A printable handover protocol is generated automatically after completion.

Offline Support

Read Cache

Recently viewed assets, locations, and process definitions are cached for 15 minutes. You can browse and search even with poor signal.

Offline Write Queue

When you are offline, write operations (such as completing a movement step) are saved locally and queued for synchronization. Once your device reconnects:

  • Queued operations are sent to the server automatically
  • A progress indicator shows synchronization status
  • If a conflict is detected (e.g. another user modified the same data), you are notified to resolve it

Offline Detection Banner

When your device loses connectivity, a banner appears at the top of the screen:

"You are offline. Changes will be saved and synced."

The banner shows the number of pending operations and disappears automatically once all changes are synchronized.

Touch Targets

All interactive elements on mobile meet the WCAG 2.5.5 minimum touch target size of 44x44 pixels for comfortable use with fingers.
