Onboarding tours
Uslimato ships guided tours that walk new users through the important areas inside the application itself — rather than leaving them alone with an empty screen.
#What happens on your first sign-in
The first time you sign in to a tenant you land on the onboarding page: a checklist of guided tours tailored to your role. Each tour highlights one area of the application and explains it in context.
| Tour | Who for | Steps | What it covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Welcome tour | Everyone | 5 | Dashboard, navigation, search, tenant switching |
| Asset basics | Everyone | 6 | Asset list, search, filters, creating, status |
| Process intro | Technicians, helpdesk | 5 | Movements, step wizard, handover protocols |
| Admin setup | Administrators | 8 | Catalog, users, settings, permissions |
#Taking or skipping the tours
Nothing forces you to do onboarding in one sitting.
- Click Start on a tour on the onboarding page
- Work through it at your own pace — or leave it at any point
- If you skip, a Getting started widget appears at the top of your Dashboard with your progress
- Continue setup picks up at the next unfinished tour
- The widget can be dismissed, and disappears on its own once every tour is complete
#Replaying a tour later
Under Settings › Onboarding you see the state of every tour — complete, skipped or open — and can replay individual tours or reset the whole progress.
On top of that, the important pages (assets, processes, catalog) carry a small ? next to the page title. Clicking it starts exactly the tour belonging to that page — still useful long after onboarding.
#Resetting onboarding for someone else
Administrators can reset onboarding for individual people. That is worth doing when an existing account is taken over by someone new, or when a larger release warrants re-explaining a feature.
Open the user's detail page and pick Reset onboarding from the actions menu. On their next sign-in that person starts on the onboarding page again.
