Inventory & data
Asset inventory
The asset inventory is the central overview of all devices, software licenses and accessories – with status, location and ownership. In this guide you book in your first device.

1#Before you start
Two things make intake easier: a maintained model catalog and an established location structure. Both can also be added later.
- A role with write permission (
assets:write) in the current tenant - At least one location (building, floor or room)
- Optional: manufacturer and model already in the catalog
2#Book in a device
Open Assets and click New asset. Assign a unique asset tag, pick the model from the catalog and set the status to in_stock. Assign the device to a location and save.
- Asset tag: a unique identifier per device (e.g. AST-000142)
- Model: from the catalog (manufacturer, model, type)
- Status:
in_stockto begin with - Location: building / floor / room
3#Finding assets again
The asset list offers filters, full-text search and custom columns. A hover preview shows a thumbnail, assignment and location after a brief pause. Depending on your setting, a click opens either the detail page (full screen) or a side panel in the list context.
Tip
When the pool of asset-tag numbers runs low, Uslimato warns you in time – as a hint from 80% usage, more clearly when critical.
Done!
You've booked in your first device – it's now in the inventory, assigned to a location and ready to be handed out.
